This year, it will be worth visiting some concerts in Budapest, because legendary rockstars are coming to the Hungarian capital. Among others, Dropkick Murphys, Robbie Williams and Maneskin will perform.
Formed in 1996, Dropkick Murphys has been the world’s most popular Celtic-punk band for a decade and a half now. They are characterised by outstanding instrumental skills and a professional performing skills. They are able to set a cheerful and melancholic tone at the same time, due to the specialty of the genre. What makes the group special is that the members look like simple, working-class figures, writes Origo.
In addition, Pennywise will perform again in Hungary after twelve years as a support band for Dropkick Murphys. Along with Bad Religion and NOFX, the Californian band is the most important representative of the American punk new wave of the eighties. The two star groups will be accompanied on the tour by the Australian Celtic-punk band The Rumjacks and singer-songwriter Jesse Ahern.

Formed in 1998, Bullet For My Valentine became one of the most successful British metal bands of its generation right away with their first three albums. “The music is fresh, aggressive and more visceral and passionate than ever. I wanted us to go straight for the throat, fully armed, showing the middle fingers. Metaphorically speaking, I want to strangle people with this record”, said Bullet For My Valentine’s Matt Tuck on the band’s latest, untitled album. Two well-known bands joined their current tour. One of them is the Ukrainian Jinjer, the other is Atreyu, the popular American band.

Maneskin introduced themselves through the Eurovision Song Contest and have come far since then. They are characterised by their classic, dirty rock ‘n’ roll songs fueled by southern temperament in their endlessly provocative performance. The concert, originally planned for 2021, was initially organised at Barba Negra, but the venue was sold out so quickly that it was finally moved to the Arena.
