Budapest (MTI) – Delegates re-elected the two co-leaders of the opposition LMP party at a party congress held on Saturday.
Andras Schiffer and Bernadett Szel were re-elected for 18 months with no other candidates running for the post.
LMP wants to prove in the next year and a half that radical nationalist Jobbik party is not the only alternative to Fidesz, Szel told a press conference. She said LMP would serve “voters abandoned by Fidesz”, such as health-care and social workers, teachers, small and medium-sized companies (SME) and those who were forced to leave the country.
