Mol Group signed an agreement on the purchase of Eni Hungaria Zrt., which operates 183 fuel stations under the brand Agip in Hungary and it is engaged in wholesale business, index.hu wrote.
One of the aims of Mol is to expand its activities around the radius of its main refineries and to increase the presence in the retail market. Thus the company gets petrol stations in key locations and also strengthens its positions in Budapest.
A few things still need for the close of the transaction, including the approval of the Economic and Competition Authority. The lubricant wholesale business of Eni is not part of the agreement.
