Fully 4,644 people crossed into Hungary directly from Ukraine on Friday, while another 5,736 from Ukraine crossed from Romania, the national police headquarters said.
Police issued temporary residence permits valid for thirty days to 756 people, the police website said on Saturday. Holders of such permits must contact a local immigration office near their place of residence within thirty days to apply for permanent documents, it said.
Budapest police received 584 refugees, 223 children among them, by train, according to the municipal police website.
Refugees arriving on special train services at Kőbánya felső railway station, in eastern Budapest, were taken by bus to the BOK sports and events centre serving as a humanitarian transit point.
The Budapest government office said that 314 people received assistance at the BOK transit point on Friday and 80 spent the night there.

Again. We get that 10.000 Ukrainians arrive. Every day. And then – how many leave? This is the important statistic, right?
@Tibor, you are correct. I have commented before in the DNH that without the counter balance of the figure of people simply transiting through Hungary, the arrivals figures are largely meaningless.
