Movie-like car chase took place in Budapest on Christmas Eve – VIDEO
The driver trying to flee from the police in Budapest on Christmas Eve was drunk and probably used drugs.
On 24th December, the police in Budapest’s 11th district wanted to stop a car; however, when the driver noticed the police approaching, he immediately started to escape.
During the movie-like car chase, the driver ignored all traffic rules and crashed into two parking cars.
As the Hungarian news portal Origo reports, the man did not give up even after the collision; he got out of the car, ran to a condominium, then broke the glass of the front door and tried to get into the stairwell, where the police caught up and captured him. A drug-suspect substance was found in the man’s clothes, and a probe was blown with it, indicating intoxication.
Police reported that the driver had a long criminal record.
It turned out that the 22-year-old perpetrator tried to flee from the police due to 7 arrest warrants issued against him – theft, truculence, bodily harm, harassment, breach of domicile and vandalism. His car did not have a technical license or valid insurance. Police interrogated the man and then detained him.
