The annual Busójárás at Mohács kicked off a couple of days ago and until we wait for the fresh photos to arrive, why not take this quiz that Magyarország Kúl has compiled?

The Mohács Busójárás takes place this year between the 8th and the 13th of February. We wrote earlier that,

according to Hungarian traditions, the carnival season has always been the time to drive away winter with noisy razzle-dazzle. It was believed that on the last days of winter the Sun weakened and bad ghosts came to life. People tried to dismiss them with noise, marry-making and by burning a witch figure. One of the most typical Hungarian feasts is the ‘Busó festival of Mohács’, which attracted crowds to Mohács last weekend.
