The compilation showing the 50 most influential persons of tourism has been published for the third time. It includes doctors, Olympic gold medalists, teachers, film directors and clerics as well, travelo.hu wrote.

The jury of 20 professional organizations’ representatives and the associates of Turizmus Kft. chose last year’s most influential people in tourism. The list eventually contains 55 people, but the publication shows people representing one company in pair.

There is no sequence, but many people are included on the list for the third time, including Károly Gerendai, founder of Sziget Festival.

The compilation is dominated by men; there are only 7 women on the list, four of them for the third time. Most of the professionals are economists, but even Olympic gold medalists, engineers, lawyers and doctors are represented.
