The world-famous singer chose Budapest as the location of her new video clip. Many emblematic sights appear in the video and lots of other superstars contributed to making this video.
The singer of hits like Love Me Like You Do and Burn has come out with a new single called Close To Me. It is the video clip of this track that was shot in the Hungarian capital – reports HVG.
In the clip, famous sights of Budapest such as the Buda Castle, the Fisherman’s Bastion, the Baroque Gate and the Castle Garden appear alongside world-famous stars. Gellért Bath can also be seen in several shots.
According to NlCafe, the Hungarian Tourist Agency partly took care of the financial aspect of the video, with the aim of reaching a younger audience who are more resistant to traditional marketing strategies. Apparently appearing in video clips is the new form of touristic marketing.
This is not the first time well-known superstars have come to Hungary to shoot in Budapest. Katy Perry’s Firework came out eight years ago, however, the beautiful sights of Budapest, as well as that memorable plastic bag-metaphor, make it an evergreen.
This year alone, we reported about a number of actors and singers who came to Hungary to shoot a movie or trailer. Will Smith had a number of adventures in the Hungarian capital, including celebrating Father’s Day or causing controversy by illegally climbing up the Chain Bridge.
The Terminator also spent some weeks here in the summer, getting a picture with PM Orbán Viktor and getting a trophy back from a Hungarian powerlifter.
Most recently, supermodel Gigi Hadid has visited Budapest – check out details here.
