New express delivery company to conquer the Hungarian market

Change language:
In a surprising move amidst challenging geopolitical circumstances, Nova Post, Ukraine’s major express delivery company, has recently established its presence in Hungary.
European footprint
Hungarian postal services have a new Ukrainian competitor. Despite the ongoing war, Nova Post is actively expanding its operations, making Hungary its tenth European market entry. Nova Post’s expansion journey has been noteworthy, with existing branches in countries such as Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Romania, Germany, Slovakia, and Moldova. The delivery company is eyeing the Italian and French markets as its next potential destinations, Forbes.hu reports.
Leadership in Hungary and expansion plans
Heading Nova Post’s operations in Hungary is Marianna Pajda, the former Managing Director of Packeta. Pajda, now the CEO of Nova Post in Hungary, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. Nova Post’s entry into Hungary comes with a substantial investment of EUR 100,000 (approximately HUF 38 million). The Hungarian team, currently comprising seven employees, is geared up to deliver efficient and reliable mail and parcel services. While the first branch is established on Teréz körút in Budapest, Nova Post envisions potential expansion based on customer demand. A sorting center, similar to those in Ukraine and Poland, could become a reality in Hungary.
Target audience and specialised interface
Nova Post’s main target audience comprises Ukrainian customers, including those who have sought refuge in Hungary due to the war. As we wrote before, over 32,000 Ukrainian refugees are currently in Hungary. However, Nova Post also welcomes Hungarian individual and business clients, offering a special interface for the latter to place orders and arrange deliveries to Ukraine.
Domestic and cross-border services
In a bold move, Nova Post has not only entered the Hungarian market but is also introducing a domestic delivery service in collaboration with Express One. This strategic partnership is reinforced by advanced digital solutions, including a business account, a user-friendly mobile app, and real-time parcel tracking updates every two minutes. Moreover, Nova Post aims to offer competitive pricing for its services from Hungary to Ukraine. For more information about their pricing, check out their website HERE.

Does Hungary need a Ukrainian delivery service? Why?
@ mvt – Why not? You might be familiar with DHL, FedEx and UPS.
I mean… Okay… Competition is never a bad thing. I don’t see what this outfit has to offer that the other half-dozen-plus don’t. Is it cheaper, is it faster, is its tracking facility better…? What distinguishes it?
