Revolut has unveiled a new promotional savings offer in Hungary, giving newly registered customers access to a 4.25% annual interest rate on their Hungarian forint Instant Access Savings account for six months, regardless of which subscription plan they choose.
According to Revb, the promotion, which began on 14 July, means even users on the free Standard plan can temporarily earn a higher interest rate than existing customers on Revolut’s premium Ultra subscription.
New customers receive the biggest boost
Under the campaign, anyone opening a new Revolut account will receive 4.25% annual interest on HUF savings held in an Instant Access Savings account for the first six months after signing up. Interest is credited daily, allowing savings to grow every day while remaining fully accessible at any time. Revolut has not set a minimum deposit requirement, although the maximum balance eligible for interest is HUF 20 million, Telex writes.
Interest rates also changing for existing customers
Alongside the promotional offer, Revolut has announced permanent changes to the interest rates available to existing users. Customers on the Standard and Plus plans will see their annual savings rate increase immediately, while those on the higher-tier Premium, Metal and Ultra plans will receive lower rates from 15 September 2026.
New interest rates for existing customers
| Plan | Previous rate | New rate |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 1.25% | 2.50% |
| Plus | 1.25% | 2.50% |
| Premium | 3.25% | 2.75% (from 15 September) |
| Metal | 4.25% | 3.25% (from 15 September) |
| Ultra | 4.75% | 3.50% (from 15 September) |
For six months, newly registered customers will therefore earn 4.25%, which is higher than the 3.5% that existing Ultra subscribers will receive after the September adjustment.

What this means for users in Hungary
The promotion could make Revolut’s savings product particularly attractive for people considering opening an account, especially as the offer is available even on the free Standard plan. Existing Standard and Plus customers will also benefit from significantly higher interest rates immediately, while Premium, Metal and Ultra subscribers should be aware that their savings rates will fall from mid-September.
