The following letter was received from the Armenian National Autonomy of Hungary and it is published without change:
Dear editors of ”DailyNewsHungary”,
Considering the current situation between Armenia- Artsakh and Turkey – Azerbaijan, we can’t be indifferent to your last publication about the anxiety of Azerbiaijan’s cummunity of Hungary. We are asking you to be careful and read the official news of the events and the substantiated references of the international media before publishing the article. Such an interpretation of the events within the international community unfolding since the morning of September 27 is a specially chosen tactic by the official Azerbaijan and Ilham Aliyev, this tactik is always used against Armenia and Artsakh, who defend their borders and the right to live freely. The Armenian side has always been in favor of a peaceful settlement of this issue. However, Ilham Aliyev has repeatedly portrayed himself as an aggressor, calling for military solution, even declaring the following: “Yerevan is our historical territory, and we, the Azerbaijanis, must return to this historical land. This is our political and strategic goal, which we must gradually move towards.” Link.
Numerous exacerbations of this problem in recent years are evidence of Azerbaijan’s aggressive, anti-Armenian sentiments. Armenia has always called for the peaciful solution to the problem, but has always been and will always will be ready to protect its borders, which is happening right now. Since September 27, the Azerbaijani side has launched a large-scale attack along the entire line of borders with Artsakh, continuing to shell the peaceful settlements of Artsakh, civilian infrastructure, including the capital Stepanakert. And since September 28, Azerbaijan has opened fire with a large-caliber weapon in the direction of Vardenis, the city in Republic of Armenia. Link.
In these conditions, the Armenian Army, in response, takes all appropriate measures, neutralizing the enemy’s military equipment – living troops. We protect our historical lands with rich armenian national historical cultural heritage. Armenian people will not allow the repetition of 1915, when Turkey, taking advantage of the unfavorable international political situation, massacared 1.5 million Armenian people in their historical territories. Armenians do not fight for having new territories, they fight to preserve their land, life և freedom. The Armenian Army is not alone. More and more ARMENIAN VOLUNTEERS from Syria, Lebanon, and all over the world, joining Armenian Forces to defend their country and their people. The information about the terrorist mercenaries in the Armenian army by the Azerbaijani community is absolute false. Moreover, for several days now the authoritative international media have been reporting that Turkey, an ally of Azerbaijan (Mr. Erdogan declared Turkey’s unconditional support to Azerbaijan), has transferred 4,000 mercenary terrorists from Syria, Pakistan to Azerbaijan to fight against armenians. It should be noted that official Azerbaijan immediately denied the existence of mercenaries in its army. Links of international medias concerning these occusations below: Reuters, The Guardian.
Thus, if the Azerbaijani community is very concerned about the unexpectedly strong response of the Armenian side, it is understandable. But their concern over other issues is unclear. The disgraceful incident that took place in the Hungarian capital years ago, when Ramil Safarov axed Armenian officer Gurgen Margaryan while he was sleeping, and also video from 2016 ”april” war where azerbayjani soldiers beheading armenian soldiers and also eldery unprotected people in villages, forced us, the Armenian community, to be restless in our daily lives, especially in the conditions of aggravation of the problem. The Armenian community of Hungary has always followed all humanitarian, legal norms and laws in territory of the Republic of Hungary. We now rely on your vigilant and impartial approach to prevent possible provocations by the Azerbaijani community.
