ELTE university to set up new department of economic sciences
Eötvös Loránd Tudomanyegyetem (ELTE) university in Budapest will set up a new department of economic sciences, the university said on Monday.
“In the latest significant development in the university’s 386-year history”, the senate and eight existing departments of the institution have unequivocally supported a proposal to transform the institute of economic sciences set up within the university in 2017 into a new department effective August 1, the statement said.
The new department will be “among the ten largest of its kind” within the 150 departments throughout Hungary and the largest centre for masters training, it added.
