University of Pécs celebrates India Day
The Amrita Sher-Gil Cultural Center is happy to announce its participation in the spring Asia Week program of the University of Pécs with an India Day.
The online event will be on March 16, 2021, with programs running from 2 p.m. till the evening.
In the first half of the event, two performances will be held via live broadcasts:
Shamika Ravi is a leading economist, who will talk about epidemic management in India (in English), throwing light on India as a success story of pandemic. Ambassadors video message will open the programme. Beáta Bognár will talk about Ayurveda and the role of doshas (in Hungarian). Lectures will be followed by a Q&Q session.
The second part of the program is full of music and dance; there will be a Bollywood song from Bosnia, a Hindi song from a Hungarian musician, a cube dance (classical Kuchipudi dance), a quiz and a documentary screening.

Our India@75 celebrations have launched day before by PM. It’s going to be a 75 weeks celebration for India’s 75th Independence Day anniversary in 2022. But all Missions abroad are going to do several events around this with two gala weeks ( 2021 Aug) and 2022 Aug.
