Hungarian FM Szijjártó: Countries that are brave enough to be pro-peace need to cooperate

“Cooperation is needed between countries that are brave enough to speak up for an early peace in Ukraine, which could promote a diplomatic settlement,” Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said in Dushanbe on Tuesday.
According to a statement from the foreign ministry, Szijjártó held talks with Sirojiddin Muhriddin, his Tajik counterpart, in Tajikistan’s capital.
“Some political leaders of Europe, unfortunately, think that they are at war and so is Europe, while it is not true: the war is between Ukraine and Russia,” he stressed. He said the longer the war lasted, the greater the risk of further escalation was.
Szijjártó noted that he was meeting his Tajik counterpart for the 11th time, “which shows the importance of bilateral ties for both countries”.
Hungary and Tajikistan have signed an agreement on security cooperation and coordination of the war against crime, the ministry said citing Szijjártó.
Szijjártó said after talks with Muhriddin that relations between the two countries were based on mutual respect and the agreement on security cooperation and the fight against crime was the result of common views they shared about the importance of peace and the fight againts terrorism.
He added that similarly to Hungary, Tajikistan also called for a peace agreement in Ukraine as soon as possible.
Hungary is preparing to fulfil the rotating presidency of the European Union and priorities for the community in the upcoming period now include strengthening cooperation with central Asia, he said.
“No wonder, since the central Asian region is developing very dynamically and the failed sanctions against Russia that caused more damage to Europe also resulted in the rearrangement of east-west trade routes, with the role of central Asia having increased considerably for Europe’s trade with the East,” he added.
He said that he had agreed with his Tajik counterpart that an enhanced partnership agreement between Tajikistan and the EU would be finalised during the Hungarian presidency.
“Additionally, we will ensure that Tajikistan receives financial support from the EU for the success of its border protection efforts, considering that Tajikistan has a vely long 1,500 km border with Afghanistan from where we know that the threat of terrorism continually starts towards Europe,” he said.
“And if the Tajiks cannot hold this back and they cannot protect the Tajik-Afghan border, then Europe will face an even more severe challenge of terrorism in the upcoming period,” he added.
He assured Muhriddin of Hungary’s support for Tajikistan to become a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council by the end of the decade and said that the government will maintain its offer of annual twenty scholarships for Tajik students to study at Hungarian universities.
Hungary, under it’s present Prime Minister – Victor Orban and his Fidesz Government, have DISPLAYED to the European Union, Great Britain & Northern Ireland and the United States of America and Global country’s Governed under DEMOCRACY, there isolation – from the commencement of the War by Russia on the Ukraine.

Globally we KNOW commencement with the European Union – this “veiled” position of adaptation – image has BEEN treated with total – Annoyance and Dissatisfaction, by country’s Governed under DEMOCRACY.
THIS position REMAINS and GROWS – Rightfully.

Post the WAR commenced by Russia on the Ukraine – the momentum of Partnership(s) – Relationships with Russia and China, under Dictatorships and RULED – Governed under Laws of Communism, the BIG Picture is KNOWN, watching the undertaking of the BASTARDIZATION of Hungary – displayed by the Orban led Fidesz Government, of Hungary, that ALL is aligned to Hungary, no longer a DEMOCRACY, but being “transformed” into a Dictatorship, under Law’s of Communism, focused of GROWING developing DEEPER partnerships/relationships with Russia and China.
Hungary, a country that FACTUALLY is in a state of worsening Financial & Economic – CHOES.
Victor Orban – his Fidesz Government, proceed on, in there destruction of Hungary, that over the time of nearing 15 years in POWER, have DELIVERED this country, to the gargantuan un-known NADIR of what will eventuate in being a cataclysmic DISASTER.

If you listen just to Szijjarto you might think that Ukraine invaded russia instead of the other way around…..
The “peace” he keeps calling for is Ukraine surrender followed by russia killing as many Ukrainians as it wants….

When has he ever criticized russia for invading Ukraine?
He goes on and on about European madness and pro-war Europeans.. not a single word about Russian madness and Russian attack & the devastation Russia has caused with their violent attack against a sorveign country. Szijjarto sounds like Russian propagandist. Hard to believe that this is the kind of politicians Hungarians vote for. No wonder that a large part of Hungarian youth is desperate to find a better future outside Hungary.
Hungary has been infiltrated by Russia to promote its’ interests to undermine the EU and NATO and achieve territorial expansion. Fidesz is a willing primary instrument of Russia’s hybrid warfare against Europe to weaken EU and NATO cohesion, disrupt opposition to Russia’s attack on Ukraine and as we have seen disrupt NATO expansion with Sweden and Finland. Hungary is presently using its’ veto power to oppose very limited non-lethal NATO aid to Armenia. A drift by Armenia towards NATO and the EU is extremely unwelcome to Russia and Fidesz is now doing Putin’s bidding here. It was the Orban government that in 2012 freed Ramil Safarov an Azerbaijani officer who murdered an Armenian at a NATO training seminar in Budapest. He went back to Azerbaijan to be decorated and promoted. Hungary is cultivating relations with Muslim Azerbaijan and throwing the Christian Armenians under the bus. What Fidesz says about protecting Christians is all propaganda for gullible Hungarians. The only description that fits for Hungary is that of traitor to Europe and NATO. Fidesz does it all for money. It has been bought by the “Rouble Right.” Attached is a good description of what Russia is doing to undermine Europe.

Russia invaded Ukraine. Ukraine mistreated its ethnic Russians for years; result 2014 civil war. Present time, Ukraine was not ready or capable to fight a war against Russia. Zelensky spent more time begging countries to send the dictatorship money and weapons. The west generously responded. Some of that money was embezzled and some of the weapons ended on the black market.
Why would Hungary commit suicide with the rest of EU, UK, and US. The cost for the taxpayers is enormous. So far, Ukraine has shown not positive results. Therefore, at this time it can be said that the west’s investment is a failure.
Hungary did help Ukrainian refugees.

A Ukrainian from Donbas told me that “Ethnic russian” has never been a thing in Ukraine, it’s russian disinformation (a substance that Hungarians seem to have an endless desire for). And there was no ‘civil war’ in 2014, there was a russian invasion (admitted by the guy who led it).
