(MTI) – The number of companies subjected to forced tax-collection procedures in Hungary rose 3.6 percent yr/yr to 143,853 in May, company-monitoring website feketelista.hu told MTI on Friday.

The website said that the amount of tax derived from such forced-collection procedures rose 6.1 percent to 361.5 billion forints (EUR 1.2bn) during that period.

The total the tax authority intends to collect through forced collection from companies is 913.3 billion forints and is 191 billion forints from some 231,700 private individuals.
