The number of schools and universities prescribing face masks for their students is constantly rising in Hungary as the number of new COVID cases increases.
According to portfolio.hu, multiple Budapest and country schools tightened rules regarding mask-wearing in the last two weeks. That is because the number of students struggling with upper respiratory symptoms is rising. Therefore, more and more schools prescribe compulsory mask-wearing in the corridors, canteens, toilets, and rooms of social interaction. In some institutions, students already have to wear a mask during classes.
More and more people are wearing masks on public transport. Up until now, 3-4 schools have closed because of the fourth wave, and 10-15 classes are continuing with digital education.
Many universities also introduced compulsory mask-wearing. At some universities, students have to wear masks only during classes. One example is the Budapest University of Technology and Economy.
