Official: Poland, Hungary prefer taking humanitarian help where needed over migration
The Polish and Hungarian governments believe that providing help where it is needed, rather than taking in migrants, is the most effective form of humanitarian assistance, the state secretary in charge of aiding persecuted Christians told a panel discussion at the second Hungarian-Polish Forum on Monday.
Referring to a memorandum on aiding persecuted Christians signed by Poland and Hungary in August, Trisztan Azbej told the online event that the reason why the two countries were successful when it comes to humanitarian policy was because they shared similar worldviews.
“Both Hungarians and Poles believe in general human solidarity and humanitarian principles,” he said.
Neither government sees migration as the solution to the world’s problems but rather, both believe that help should be taken to the points where the problems arise, the state secretary added.
The Polish-Hungarian humanitarian initiative “is often accused by the West of limiting its focus to just Christians”,
Azbej said. He said the two countries were prepared to provide humanitarian assistance to any group in need, adding, at the same time, that Christians were the world’s most persecuted religious group. “But not only do international organisations ignore this phenomenon, they even deny its existence,” Azbej said.

Migrants should be returned to their origin. They don’t belong in Europe. If the bleeding heart liberals want to help send them back to their home country and give them help at home Europe is full and cannot support those who refuse to assimilate into European society and those who seek to destro their new host nations culture and values. Most of these so called migrants have no intention of being anything more than parasites seeking to wreak havoc here in Europe.
I fully agree with first comment: Hungarians ( migrants ) should be returned to their origin ( Asian steppes ). They do not belong to Europe.
why doesn’t Poland and Hungary help prosecuted Christians in Bosnia and Kosovo ? 1 million had to flee Islamic dominated areas of Bosnia and Kosovo, thousand thirches burned
Yet again, Mario has shown his COMPLETE HATRED for Hungary.
It is about time that he is sent back – in chains – to the sewers from which he came.
Then he can rant and rave as much as he wants.
Christian Catholics and Ortodox before Turkish occupation were in Sarajevo 100% and in Pristina 100%, 30 years ago 60%, and now there is 5% in Sarajevo and 0.01 in Pristina, Churches in Kosovo 1000 years old were burned to the ground, 1 million Christians fled from Muslim dominated areas in the Balkans.
Looks like someone, who hates and despises other human beings simply because they are migrants ( and because some of them are not Christian ) does not like to be reminded that Hungarians originally were also migrants and they were: 1. Not European. 2. Not Indo-European. 3. Not Christian.
Ignorance, mother of intolerance and prejudice, reigns.
Marco, before Turkish arrival in Balkan peninsula, Sarajevo did not exist. It consisted of an insignificant village with zero importance. Sarajevo as we know it was established and largely built by Turks. The name itself is Turkish.
And if you want to follow the ” who came here first ” logic, then you should know that for instance Muslim Arabs were well established in Europe ( Al-Andalus, Spain ) almost two centuries before Magyar tribes settled down in the Carpathian basins. In that aspect, Moslems belong to Europe just like Magyars do. Chronologically, more than the Magyars.
If a few fanatics commit terrorist attacks, that has nothing to do with millions of Moslems peacefully living in our continent.
Do more studies.
Mario, Ethnic cleansing of Christians from Sarajevo and Pristina can not be justified. Turks did not arrive to the Serbia, Bosnia, to Hungary, they killed millions of Christians before their ärrival” . So you don’t mention this ?
And you seem not to care for expulsion of Christians, yet this happened just 20-25 years ago, or even genocide against Christians ?
If you are for multi culturalism, why don’t you mention those examples in wihich European tradition of Monasteries, even 1000 years old were burned to the ground in Kosovo ?
