The Democratic Coalition issued a statement today in which they called the government mass-murderer and added that it is brutal what they do in the country. They added that Miklós Kásler, minister of human resources, paraded among COVID-patients while hundreds of people die and thousand get the infection every day.
Balázs Barkóczi, a spokesman of the opposition party, said that Mr Kásler is just a puppet who does nothing to stop the spread of the virus. He highlighted that for PM Viktor Orbán, only the propaganda is significant, and called minister Kásler to resign from his position.
An opposition Socialist MEP, István Ujhelyi, said on Wednesday that he is turning to Hungary’s data protection authority (NAIH) to enforce his request for access to the government documents related to the coronavirus.
In a statement, Ujhelyi said government officials have not responded to his “repeated lawful requests” for access to documents containing data of public interest on vaccine procurements and details on how the pandemic has been handled.

In a response, the government information centre (KTK) noted in a statement that the government has already released vaccine purchase contracts it concluded to the public, whereas “Brussels is keeping [its own contracts] a secret”. KTK said that if Ujhelyi wanted transparency, he should turn to Brussels to obtain their contracts and release these to the public.
“This should inform every Hungarian about why [EU-procured] vaccines are arriving in Hungary much later and in far smaller quantities than in non-EU member Great Britain or Israel,” KTK said.

For as much as I disagree with almost everything Orbán’s regime does, this time I think the opposition’s choice of vocabulary is exaggerated, not appropriate to say the least.
It is possible that the D.K. (Dobrev Klara) party was planning an April Fool’s Day prank when labelling Hungary’s (democratically-elected) Fidesz-led Government as a ‘mass murderer’.
However, the ‘joke’ will inevitably blow up in their revolting fa(e)ces BIG TIME !
Looks like the opposition in Hungary is swigging out of the same poisonous brew as the Democrats in the US. Time will tell…
Like the left everywhere, their only argument requires name calling, labeling, etc,. And that same left does nothing for the people they want govern. Think about that word “govern.” It is a polite (?) term for control.
