PM Orbán: People working against Hungarians in Brussels ‘should disappear from Hungarian public life’

People who work against Hungarian interests in Brussels “should disappear from Hungarian public life”, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on Thursday.
Orbán talks about politicians who work against Hungary
“We have heard with our own ears and seen with our own eyes” that the opposition “Tisza party and Brussels have joined forces against Hungarians,” Orbán said on Facebook.
“They have agreed to destroy the Hungarian economy, Hungarian health care, and worsen Hungarians’ living standards to help the Tisza Party gain power,” he added.
“This is a dark day for Hungarian democracy,” Orbán said, adding that voters had sent representatives to the European Parliament to work for the interests of Hungarians, not against them.
“What’s been shown today is that Tisza Party representatives are working against Hungarians,” Orbán said.

Many believe convicted felons should not be electable. Some countries even have laws – like France. Who thinks putting someone found guilty of embezzlement in charge of state funds is somehow a good idea?
All Mr. Orbán could say, after Mrs. Le Pen was convicted of embezzlement was: “Je suis Marine!”. Am sure he can emphasize – accountability is a b/tch.
Mrs. Le Pens appeal is not about “innocence” or “being framed”. She embezzled funds – supported by ample evidence. She just doesn’t like the sentence… Funny for a politician and party that keep on banging on about the threat of criminals and how they should all be jailed!
And let us not forget our very own, dear Mr. Rogán.
” Today, the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is sanctioning Antal Rogan, a senior Hungarian government official, for his involvement in corruption in Hungary.”

Tellingly, the Trump administration has up until now upheld the sanction… Still very much a feature of Hungarian public life!
