Orban: More than 4.1 million jobholders in Hungary
Budapest, September 23 (MTI) – Out of 10 million people, slightly more than 4.1 million hold jobs and every one of us pays tax in Hungary, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said at the opening of a new pharmaceutical production facility in Szolnok in central Hungary today.
Beres Pharmaceuticals’ new production unit has been built at total cost of 500 million forints.
Orban drew parallels between the achievements of the Beres family and Hungary’s governments and added that the cabinet since 2010 got the task to strengthen a country from its weakened state. In 2010, only 3.6 million people held jobs and 1.8 million paid tax, which was a recipe for disaster, he added.
“We are at the start of the road and the Hungarian economy can be considered solid only if at least 5 million people hold jobs,” Orban said.
