PM Orbán’s name is on Washington’s brand-new dictator sculpture alongside Putin and Kim Jong Un

A 2.5-metre-tall sculpture was placed in front of the Capitol building in Washington, titled Dictator Approved. Even Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is depicted on the statue with a praising sentence he said about US President Donald Trump. The names of the creators are still a mystery.
PM Orbán on the “sculpture of dictators” in Washington
According to Blikk, the new sculpture was placed on the National Mall in front of the Capitol building in Washington. The sculpture depicts a golden fist giving a thumbs-up while smashing the top of the Statue of Liberty. The sculpture appeared on Monday. On the pedestal, you may read quotes from several world leaders praising US President Trump. For example, there are Russian President Putin’s words: “President Trump is a very bright and talented man.”
But there are other quotes as well, from, for example, North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un and even Hungary’s controversial strongman, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. “The most respected, the most feared person is Donald Trump,” is written on Orbán’s plaque on the opposite side of Putin’s.

The sculpture appeared after the president’s military parade in the capital, coinciding with his birthday, against which nationwide “No Kings” protests broke out. Based on sources from The Independent, the artwork has a permit to remain on the National Mall until 22 June.
The sculpture must be protected
The permit states: “Military parade on 6/14 will feature imagery similar to that of autocratic, oppressive regimes, i.e. N. Korea, Russia, and China, marching through DC. This statue will call attention to that imagery by linking our American traditions of freedom to the praise these types of oppressive leaders have given Donald Trump.” Furthermore, the permit states there should be a security guard protecting the sculpture 24/7.
The White House gave an ironic reaction to the initiative. Spokeswoman Abigail Jackson said if the Democratic activists lived in a dictatorship, their sculpture would not stand on the National Mall. She added that artists can exhibit their works of art freely in the USA regardless of their ugliness.
