The spokesman of the opposition Democratic Coalition (DK) party said on Sunday that “each and every step taken recently by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán points in the direction that he wants Hungary to quit the European Union”.
But Hungarian people support their country’s being an EU member and “DK will make every effort to thwart Orbán’s vicious plan”, Balázs Barkóczi told a press conference streamed on Facebook.
“Hungary’s place is in the European Union,”
the DK lawmaker said, adding that the party had submitted to parliament a proposal initiating that the government should reaffirm its commitment towards fundamental EU values.
Contrary to the prime minister’s concept, the powers of the European Parliament must be strengthened, not weakened, Barkóczi said.

“…..,you are the weakest link, goodbye!” – Anne Robinson, The Weakest Link (BBC TV quiz show).
If the Prime Minister of Hungary was to do a “HUXIT”, then, I dare say, his tenure as PM would going down the gurgler quick smart.
…Maybe? No, not yet, first the Prime Minister has to get Serbia, Georgia, Albania, North Macedonia, B&H into the EU to have some more allies to be on his side to break up the EU and form their own little cabal of nations.
Quitting the EU is not a bad idea.
Polite message to DK.
If you disagree with Orban all you have to do is present a convincing alternative.
Orban has won 3 landslides in a row so do you really think you will win next time by continuing to throw personal insults like you always do?
You got to try a different approach. Mi Hazank, after only a few weeks in parliament, already understand that!
