OTP Bank – Six Branches Closed Due To Civil Unrest in Ukraine
(MTI) – OTP Bank Ukraine, the Ukrainian unit of Hungary’s OTP Bank, has kept six of the bank’s 140 branches closed on Thursday due to the intensifying civil conflict taking place in the country, the bank told MTI.
The bank closed four of its branches on Wednesday due to deadly clashes between anti-government demonstrators and police in the capital city of Kiev and elsewhere in the country.
OTP Bank Ukraine’s press department said today that the bank is prepared for the potential devaluation of the Ukrainian hryvnia as a result of the unrest.
