Out of control woman arrested in Budapest for shouting anti-Semitic slurs at people
A middle-aged woman appeared at a café on Pozsony Road and started insulting customers and employees alike. She called everyone “Jews” and “peasants” and refused to cooperate with the arriving police officers. She also claimed that “Hitler left his job half-done”.
The incident happened in District XIII (Újlipótváros) on Tuesday evening, 444 reports.
Customers at Briós Café noticed a strange woman (about 40-50 years old) with an average appearance who started walking around the terrace of the café.
She then started walking among the customers on the terrace and shouted anti-Semitic slurs. She even shouted directly at some customers, calling them “Jews” and “peasants”. She also praised Hitler and said things like “Hitler left the job half-done”.
Café employees immediately asked the woman to stop insulting their customers, but they only got called Jews themselves. The woman was out of control.
Witnesses claim that the woman was unable to calm down. She was walking around the terrace, continuing to shout and call people Jews for at least 30 minutes. By this time, several calls to the police were made.
Police soon arrived at the scene; they got the first report around 6.20 p.m.
Police asked the woman to show her identification, but she called the officers “peasants” and “Jews” too. Witnesses said that the instant name-calling was like a reflex to her at this point.
She continued to ignore the policemen; she did not hand over her identification after the second time they asked for it. She simply turned her back to the policemen and started walking away.
Since she was uncooperative and refused to follow the common procedure, she was handcuffed and taken to the police car. Police confirmed that the woman was taken into custody by the police officers. She was taken to the District XIII police station, where she was prosecuted for disorderly conduct.

At least 30 minutes…. several calls to the police….the police soon arrived! If that is soon, heavens knows what a normal response time would be.
