Pedophile scandal: PM Orbán reacts, President Novák insists on shocking pardon
“There shall be no mercy for paedophiles,” Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on Thursday, adding that he had filed a constitutional amendment to prevent a pardon from being granted to perpetrators of crimes committed against minors.
Orbán said on Facebook that he had submitted the amendment proposal on behalf of the government, adding that it was his personal belief that there must be no mercy for paedophiles.
He said a debate on the powers of the presidential pardon had arisen, adding that “what’s needed now is not to be lawyerly but to establish clarity with an unequivocal decision”.
He said he had five children and six grandchildren, adding that if anybody touched them, his first thought would be that “they must be cut in half, they must be cut into pieces”.
A large part of Hungarian society and many Fidesz supporters believe that the release of the man who helped pedophilia makes the President unworthy of her post. Orbán seems to be sticking by the president, and has not called on her to resign, even though the Hungarian government considers itself family-friendly and Christian.
President insists on surprising pardon
The office of the President of the Republic issued a statement saying that the constitutional amendment would beef up child protections, and Katalin Novák would “gladly sign” the legislation once MPs passed it. This reaction also shows that the President is not willing to apologise for her decision, nor to take responsibility for the consequences of such a decision: such a pardon sends the wrong message to paedophiles and the wrong message to exploited child victims.
As we wrote today, an opposition party wrote to the Pope over the presidential pardon, details HERE.

So the only way Novak will not pardon paedophile enablers is if Fidesz amends the constitution to stop her? Wouldn’t it be easier just to remove her from office because God only knows what other trash she will pardon? Secondly who exactly promoted the name to her for a pardon? Did she go searching for paedophiles to pardon or was it suggested to her? Who put forward the name?
Never forget that Victor is a strong supporter of rapist Trump.
Ever notice that our Politicians never accept responsibility for their actions, take ownership of situations of their creation, and they seem to be incapable of apologizing? Best case – spin, blame someone else or some whataboutism.
The WAY it WORKS.
My question to the current Prime Minister, as a Prosecutor, in real life, would be :
“Did you have prior knowledge of this PARDONING that you factually had been “briefed” by the President of Hungary – Katalina Novak ?
Your answer – is either YES or NO, but in the case you admit knowledge, what was your recommendation or decision to what was before you, relating to this PARDONING .”
The current President of Hungary – Katalin Novak, would have “put on the desk” of her “adored” Leader of her “adored” Political Party Fidesz, the current “PRESSURIZED” growing Prime Minister of Hungary – Victor Orban, seeking his opinion on the decision she acted upon, that has disgraced her, as our President, that the Prime Minister approved be her PARDONING.
Katalin Novak, prior to her “elevation” to the Presidency of Hungary, a known Power Player from within the “inner sanctum” of the Fidesz Party, lead by her “Political Idol and Hero” – the current Prime Minister of Hungary – Victor Orban,
This subject matter is just a MONUMENTOUS act of Hypocrisy – for what Victor Orban “mouths off” – is practiced under “supposed” law in Hungary.
