Peeper captured at Lake Balaton
The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Kaposvár impleaded a 52-year-old man, charging him with illicit data collection and child pornography. In his apartments at lake Balaton, he watched 17 of his guests using the bathroom, several recordings of people on holiday were found together with pornographic pictures of minors.Â
According to the prosecutor, back in 2019, the defendant decided to buy a fibre optic camera, but he made up his mind, and instead of the original purpose he used it to spy on his guests while they were in the bathroom – wrote telex.hu.
He put little holes on the corridor walls connecting the apartments in order to get a perfect view on the toilets and shower cabins.
He inserted the cameras in the holes from the corridor.
Between April and July of 2019, he recorded 17 people using the toilet, changing sanitary pads, taking a shower naked and he even took a video of a couple during sexual intercourse.
The defendant was exposed by two guests who noticed the little holes in the grout, with the fibre optic camera moving inside of it in the bathroom corner.
Police arriving at the scene confiscated all data mediums belonging to the defendant. After analysing them, an additional 400 pictures with pornographic content of children under 18 were found.Â
The prosecution office asked for 3 to 6 months of prison from the Court of Kaposvár – in case he pleads guilty during the preliminary hearing.
Not everyone accused of disposing child pornography pictures gets treated the same way, though. The case of the Hungarian Ambassador to Peru, for instance, is a perfect example.Â
