Péter Magyar: Orbán-close oligarchs will be put in detention soon
Péter Magyar, the leader of the Tisza Party and the main challenger of PM Orbán, wrote in a Facebook post that Orbán-close oligarchs will be arrested in days following the wealth loss scandal of the PADME foundation of the National Bank of Hungary. However, he said the perpetrator, the Matolcsy family, would not be held responsible because they would surrender most of their “stolen” assets to Orbán’s family, probably his son-in-law, István Tiborcz.

Magyar shared more in his Facebook post about the issue, but Ákos Hadházy, a non-aligned member of the Hungarian Parliament, wrote earlier about that scheme. Hadházy wrote that the Matolcsy clan’s main error was disloyalty to Orbán and that the former national bank governor dared to criticise some economic policies and sought connections with opposition figures in secret. Therefore, his accusation will be similar to when the Communists execute impertinent leaders in China.
Hadházy said that the agreement between Matolcsy and Orbán has already been signed. Consequently, the Matolcsy family will give away most of the “stolen” assets to István Tiborcz, the prime minister’s son-in-law. If that happens, the police investigation will last long. Hadházy added that he could not prove that, but he qualified the source of that information as valid.
Orbán-close oligarchs to be arrested, Magyar says
Péter Magyar, the challenger of PM Orbán, wrote the same in a Facebook post published 1.5 hours later, saying that some Orbán-close oligarchs would be arrested in days. However, nobody should be distracted; that will only be a theatrical element in the long run because the agreement has already been reached between the two “clans”. He added that such a step is required because the National Bank scandal affects Swiss and Polish companies, so it has an international aspect. Magyar also wrote about Swiss castles, New York properties, restaurants, sports cars and hundreds of billions of forints among the assets in question.

Magyar added that the government started to build up the image of János Lázár, the construction and transport minister who openly slammed government-close entrepreneurs leading a luxury life and called them ticks as the purger of oligarchs. Magyar called that cynicism since Lázár is a huge landlord and accumulated, among others, a luxury shop, a castle and tens of billions of forints.
In his Thursday speech, Lázár did not slam people who acquired wealth with governmental help. He only criticised those who did not pump back money for “public purposes”. Instead, they used the money they gained to lead a luxurious life, buying yachts, etc. They called on them to stop to win back the support of their voters.

Orban uses the Russian method of control over his associates. All of them are allowed to accumulate wealth through corrupt illegal means. This allows Orban to maintain their loyalty because as has happened in this case if they become disloyal they can easily be prosecuted for their illegal activities. The most dangerous party members for Orban are those who have not been corrupted such as Peter Magyar who abandoned the party because the only way to use the legal system against them is through fabricated and flimsy charges that the public sees through. Orban’s attempts to persecute and discredit Magyar have backfired in public opinion.
Whilst, it was a “lay down misere” – the contents of this article, the “acts of crime” it exposes, that remain at this point in time un-proven, by judicial ruling, it deepens my SCARE what is GOING to come out, from this time of (16) sixteen years, that Hungary has been under a Government, a Fidesz Government led by Victor Mihaly. Orban.
Is it just, gives ALL the right reasons, the FAMILIARISATION – SIMILARITIES to what was going on under Hitler his “inner sanctum” that extended right through to his “rank & file” ?
Goring – what he was muchly about as exampled, that is Victor Orban- his Fidesz Government – “down the ladder” descending into its “rank & file” of “toxic culture” and Heinous conduct.
I despise commentators in the tone of there commentaries, that make contributions to this availed platform, that just have a purpose to EXCITE exaggerate, lacking Fact & Truth that are “poisonous” that in fact, do greater harm than good, on matters of there commentaries.
The “what’s to come” in the eventual DOWNFALL of Victor Mihaly. Orban and “others” the parallels of similarity, in the agendas – there “modus operandi” that eventuated in what is know or referred to as the Nuremberg Trials.
I may be “learned” on the History of the Nuremberg Trials, the “players” let me call them, that came to trial, there backgrounds – the “first mob” in 1945-1946 that to dismiss the possibility of what or may not come out from “under the carpet” the BLATANT “acts of crime” practiced undertaken by the Orban “mob” – on the citizens, the people of Hungary – we, possible could be in for a likening to the Trials of Nuremberg.

Do Hungarians want to be a banana republic; banana republics usually jail previous government officials. People that became wealth did it through hard work and talent. If inane Magyar wants to jail all wealth Hungarians, they will leave the country, take their money to tax free havens. How stupid can this man be?
Err, it already fulfils the dictionary definition of a banana republic.
It is about time someone put an end to the corruption and stealing of Hungarian tax-payers money and EU support money. I hope the next government will dig deep into what the Fidesz people have taken and reclaim everything they can from these corrupted thieves and use the money for the benefit of Hungarian people instead of oligarchs.
If it is PROVEN beyond “Reasonable Doubt” – which I believe WILL be FACT – of the FRAUD, the stealing from the people of Hungary, our TAXES and “other” by Orban and ALL associated with his “Mob” – the Oligarchy right down the line, if with certainty this is discovered and CAN be USED in the Judicial system – let us HUNGARIANS – go after them, throw the book at them, and they FACE the Court(s) and in HOPE we “Send them Down”.
Recovery from there CRIMES – return of the “assumed” billions STOLEN from the PEOPLE of HUNGARY – we have 1.2 million exampled living in POVERTY, it must be a FOCUS in having the PARTY’s – from Orban – the Oligarch and “down the line” – RECOVERY plus they are Sentenced – found of Guilt and do time maybe life – behind BAR’s – for there CRIME’s.
Hungarians – we HAVE been ABUSED.
Nothing will be proven, losses will be blamed on poor investment decisions and due to the clientilism involved, the responsibility will be difficult to apportion. If the government sought to prevent the misappropriation of state funds in the first place, they would have acted at the appropriate time, instead, the response was that there’s “nothing to see here.” Really, they cannot uncover any directly provable fraud in this case as it implicates the whole system of regulatory oversight that goes straight to the top. In any other normal country an orchestrated fraud of this magnitude would result in the resignation of the government and the calling of early elections. The missing piece of the jigsaw is accountability; you may not have been responsible, but you’re accountable.
