Czech President Petr Pavel: Too many interests prevent Orbán from confronting Putin

We have to be prepared for the fact that Russia will not be our peaceful partner, Petr Pavel Czech President said. He also expressed his disagreement with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico and said that Russia would harm Europe.
Petr Pavel: Russia will harm Europe
Russia will harm Europe and will not be satisfied with acquiring part of Ukraine, Czech President Petr Pavel told the Austrian daily Die Presse. In the interview reviewed by hvg.hu, he also said that he does not agree with Orbán, Fico and Pellegrini that it would be easy to declare peace in the war.
“If we accept Moscow’s terms, it means that the whole of Ukraine will remain under Russian control,” says the Czech president. He believes this would mean replacing the democratically elected Ukrainian government with a Kremlin vassal.
According to Pavel, Hungary and Russia are linked by many interests, especially economic ones, and
until the new Paks power plant is up and running, it is hard to imagine Viktor Orbán strongly condemning the Kremlin’s policies.
Enough have “confronted Putin” already, with zero tangible results. All the “confronting,” all the sanctions, all the hundreds of billions of dollars to Ukraine, and where are we? Ukraine is losing, Russia’s economy is soaring, Putin is as strong as ever, and Ukrainian politicians have spent millions of OUR money on luxury cars and villas in Spain.

Steiner… if we cut the “C” then let’s start with the billions of Euros that FIDEZ “C” has slipped into it’s pockets… eh speaking of luxury cars and villas… interesting you mention Spain, er I suppose you know it;s where Viktor’s son-in-law has parked a bunch of the Orban family ill-gotten gains.
And of course don’t forget… Viktor supports the war, profits from the war both financially and as a glorious distraction from his EU dance. Oh yeah and then there’s a forgotten meeting between Orban and Putti in January ’22 when OV returned to Hungary and announced to the world that his buddy Putti had told him there wasn’t a worry, there’d be no Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Czech President Petr Pavel is taking a knee to the EU. He is ignoring all his citizens that actually protested against getting involve in the Ukrainian mess. The Ukrainian mess will last forever, and it will cost dearly. People will get tired of the support and will probably dump Pavel.
