President Katalin Novák visited a hospital and a school and handed over donations at the beginning of her official visit to Rwanda.
The president visited the neonatal ward of a hospital in Rwamagana and handed over two incubators with the cooperation of the Hungarian Ecumenical Charity on Friday. On Saturday, she attended a European history class at Nyanza Ecole Secondaire, then viewed and tested a hand-washing station set up through the Hungary Helps project.
Azbej Tristan, state secretary for helping persecuted Christians and implementing the Hungary Helps programme, told public media that the Hungarian government undertook the construction of the sanitary facilities at the school through the Hungary Helps Programme and with the cooperation of the Close to Africa Foundation. President Novák will meet Paul Kagame, the President of Rwanda on Sunday. On Monday, she will address the Women Deliver 2023 Conference, along with other heads of state.
