Szijjártó: Hungarian presidency to re-start EU-Malaysia free trade negotiations
During its European Union presidency in the second half of 2024, Hungary plans to re-start free trade negotiations between the bloc and Malaysia, the foreign minister said.
Speaking after talks with his Malaysian counterpart, Mohamad Hasan, Péter Szijjártó said on Wednesday that improving foreign economic ties of the EU were of paramount importance.
Regarding the negotiations with Malaysia, which started some 10 years ago but were later abandoned, Szijjártó said: “Unfortunately, the EU wants to mix issues not pertaining to economy and trade into those talks,” which he said may result in the EU becoming isolated. “We do not want to see that happening.”
Meanwhile, the political cooperation agreement between the EU and Malaysia is yet to be ratified by 16 member states, he said. The Hungarian presidency will endeavour to convince those states to take that step, he added.

What a photo-graph of the “present” Prime Minister of Hungary – Victor Orban.
Motivational for Hungary //
PRESSURIZATION – very debilitating, draining could be extended to say somewhat of a “forlorn” looking individual.
Interesting we appear to be getting increased number in “mug shots” of Victor Orban “mate” – the “infamous” 45th former President of the United States of America – Donald J. Trump.
Good book, for his travels to read whilst in flight for Victor Orban.
Titled – La La Land, by Si Baker.
Image Victor Orban picking up the phone in his ‘Lush” Leather – all the “Bells & Whistles” seat – on a private jet aircraft, the multiple choice he would have to choose from the “Hangers” of the Oligarchy regime and saying :
“Captain, this is the “current” Prime Minister of Hungary speaking.
Your flight destination chart to-day is La La Land.”
Doesn’t Mr. Szijjártó make it sound easy – and appears to lay the onus on the European Union.
