PM Orbán supports Trump despite charges over classified documents case

The former US president’s lawyer said Trump faces seven counts, including “mishandling classified documents and obstructing efforts to investigate the storage of the files at his Florida home”. Even so, PM Viktor Orbán supports him wholeheartedly, based on his latest tweet.

“Your fight is a good fight” and “Never give up!”. That is what PM Orbán tweeted yesterday after learning about the charges against Donald Trump. BBC wrote all charges against the former US president are all federal crimes and can result in a 20-year-long prison sentence if convicted. But Trump is not bothered. His intention to become president again has not changed.

In contrast, he uses the lawsuit in his campaign, depicting his yet unknown adversaries as almighty forces able to utilise even the prosecutors or courts in their favour. “This is indeed a dark day for the United States of America. We are a country in serious and rapid decline, but together we will Make America Great Again!”, Trump said in Truth Social.
