Budapest Wine Festival
Turizmus.com wrote that the 32nd Budapest Wine Festival kicked off this week. Márton Nobilis, the Minister of State for the Food Industry and Trade Policy, stresses that Hungarian wine is the best-known top product of the Hungarian food industry. Moreover, the Hungarian public can now choose from many wine events all over the country. However, the “queen of wine festivals” is still the Budapest Wine Festival. At the festival, wine producers can present their products, and Hungarian and foreign wine lovers can get an insight into Hungarian wine culture thanks to this outstanding event on the terraces of Buda Castle. From Thursday to Sunday, the Budapest Wine Festival will welcome over 150 exhibitors with wine and unique gastronomic offerings. Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay are among this year’s guests of honour.

The programmes at the festival
As Turizmus.com also wrote, the programmes go far beyond tasting top-quality wine. As Latin American countries are in the spotlight, visitors will get the chance to try wine from over 12 wineries from the distant continent. It will be worth trying a Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, or Pinot Noir with a Latin temperament. For those who want to dive headfirst into South American culture, a Malbec from the Andes or a Tannat from the Atlantic coast will be on offer. Regarding white wine, there will be a great variety of Sauvignon Blancs, Chardonnays and Pinot Grigios.
