(MTI) – A record number of 180,000-200,000 volunteers are expected to take part in the Hungary clean-up campaign organised on May 9-11, a national waste management agency official said on Saturday.
This year’s event has also seen a record number of over 1,800 meeting points for clean-up volunteers at 1,500 localities, said Oszkar Vamosi.
The agency has so far distributed over 170,000 bags and gloves, he said.
Hungary has joined with its largest-scale volunteer project the “Let’s Clean Up Europe!” pan-European campaign.
