What qualifies as the most beautiful place in the world? This is a subjective question, as beauty means something different to everyone. Despite this, TimeOut magazine attempted to compile a ranking. Based on votes from international travel journalists, they selected the world’s most breathtaking landscapes—and among them, a remarkable Hungarian destination earned an esteemed spot.

The top spot on the list went to Komodo National Park in Indonesia, where pink sandy beaches, emerald-green hills, and the famous Komodo dragons create an exotic landscape. Second place was awarded to the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls in Africa, which cascades with immense power, showcasing nature’s untamed energy. The third position was claimed by Bhutan’s Punakha Valley, a spiritual haven nestled among the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas, featuring hidden monasteries, rice fields, and rivers.

  1. I’ve been going there since the 70s. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and is a magnet for foreign tourists. I have always loved the drive through the Bukk and have tried a couple trails spotting herds of deer and wild boar which should be given a lot of distance. It’s a good combination with sightseeing in Eger.
