Expect public transport changes and road closures in Budapest this weekend due to festival

Closures in Budapest are expected to cause disruption this weekend as the Kispest City Festival brings major traffic and public transport changes to District XIX. With Ady Endre Road set to be closed to vehicles between Kisfaludy Street and Petőfi Street on both Saturday and Sunday, residents and visitors are advised to plan ahead to avoid delays and rerouted services.

Infostart notes that motorists and public transport users should prepare for significant closures in Budapest this weekend as the Kispest City Festival takes place on 14 and 15 June. Ady Endre Road in District XIX will be closed between Kisfaludy Street and Petőfi Street, prompting major disruptions to local transport. Tram 42 will be replaced by a shuttle bus, which will not serve Templom tér in either direction. Bus routes 68, 132E, 142E, and 268 will also operate on modified routes, with several stops omitted. Travellers are advised to use the BudapestGO app for real-time updates and journey planning.
