Russian intelligence warns of potential Ukrainian terror attacks in Hungary, Europe

The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has issued a statement claiming that Ukraine may be planning terrorist attacks on Russian diplomatic missions in several European countries. According to the intelligence agency, these alleged plots are aimed at disrupting potential negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.

Potential targets

According to their statement, the SVR suggests that Ukraine is most likely to attempt such operations in Germany, the Baltic States, and Scandinavian countries. The Russian intelligence service claims these countries were chosen due to their low level of cooperation with Russia and the fact that anti-terrorism collaboration between their intelligence services and Russia has practically ceased.

The SVR also mentions the possibility of attacks in Slovakia and Hungary. The intelligence agency speculates that these two EU member states might be targeted to discredit them, as they hold “special positions” in the Ukrainian conflict, 444.hu writes.

Motivation behind the alleged plots

According to the SVR, the Ukrainian authorities are considering these terrorist acts as a means to disrupt potential negotiations with Moscow and undermine the credibility of certain EU member states. The Russian intelligence service claims that European countries have noted Kyiv’s reluctance to reach agreements with Moscow.

It’s important to note that these allegations come solely from Russian sources and have not been independently verified or confirmed by other international intelligence agencies or Ukrainian officials.

  1. Only fools would believe anything from Russian “intelligence” which is engaged in constant disinformation campaigns. There is evidence that the 1999 Russian apartment bombings that preceded Putin’s campaign against Chechnya was actually conducted by Russian intelligence to manipulate public opinion.

  2. Wait for it – “deceptive action … false flag, harmful, often militant, event or action that is designed to appear as though perpetrated by someone other than the person or group responsible for it”

Oh – wait! “… These claims are part of a broader pattern of Russian allegations against Ukraine. In February 2023, Moscow accused Kyiv of plotting to stage a nuclear incident on its own soil to frame Russia ahead of a United Nations meeting. Similarly, in October 2022, Russian officials alleged that Ukraine intended to detonate a “dirty bomb” and pin the blame on Moscow.

Russia’s allegations, which lack evidence, align with the Kremlin’s broader disinformation efforts to erode Western support for Ukraine during the war.”

  3. Trusting Russian intelligence is the dumbest thing anybody could do these days, especially in such a sensitive geopolitical area as Hungary or any border land next to Ukraine.

We know the games they play, and the evidence of Russian attempts at terror in the west is already well documented , including the scariest close call – an ‘incendiary device’ (meaning a bomb) on that DHL freighter, which luckily was set off accidentally and caught before going into the plane. This is not a joke, a scare tactic – this was attempt to take lives and sow terror, and is far from the only scary example.

If a terror attack were to occur on EU soil and the Russians point to Ukraine, it should be quite easy to discern where it’s actually coming from. Everything Russia says, you just have to understand the opposite will be true. Their lies and tactics are brazen and not even well hidden. This is sadly the reality these days.

  4. Yup, The SVR has a history of these kinds of prophecies, and usually they happen…..with their special twist on them. And “yup too” to the Donald being the only guy who can prevent WWIII. Of course it might be more fitting to wrap up WWII first. Donald could start by demanding that the Russians pay their WWII debt to the US that was never repaid. 11.3 billion 1945 dollars. That would approach 200 billion in today’s dollars; even without the nearly 80 years of interest. At a modest 5% that would come to around half a trillion dollars……….hmmm, half a trillion dollar? Where have I heard that before? Oh, ya…….that’s what the Donald wants in Ukrainian mineral wealth.
