Son of Saul wins Independent Spirit Award
Budapest, February 28 (MTI) – The Holocaust drama Son of Saul, Hungarian director Laszlo Nemes’ directorial debut, won the Independent Spirit Award for Best International Film in Los Angeles on Saturday.
The film, about a member of the Sonderkommando, Jews charged with disposing of bodies in the death camps, has won a string of international awards and is among the nominees for Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
The film was supported by the Hungarian National Film Fund.
