Strand Festival 2020 – Program Change
Many artists cancel their international tours due to the coronavirus epidemic. Unfortunately, this includes their scheduled concerts at this year’s Strand Festival, Zamárdi. Luckily, new headliners have already been announced.
Program changes
Unfortunately, SUM 41, Ellie Goulding, DJ Fresh, and Milky Chance will not be performing at the Strand Festival this summer. However, SUM 41, Ellie Goulding and Milky Chance promised to make up for their absence next year.
In his statement Lead organiser Norbert Lobenwein said:
“There are many uncertainties this year regarding all aspects of life. Festivals and concerts are no exception. 90% of international tours are cancelled. Only artists from neighbouring or closeby countries will be able to perform, without having to move too many staff. This is the main reason for the changes.”
Luckily, not all foreign artists cancelled. Parov Stelar, Timmy Trumpet, Martin Solveig and Wilkinson all confirmed their appearances at Strand Festival’s stage.
New headliners have already been announced, including Lost Frequencies, Alle Farben, Sikdope, Funtcase, Chime, Franky Nuts and Oliverse.
The updated program is up on the festival’s website.
Usually changes in the program does not entitle people to refund their tickets. However, Strand Festival decided to change the rules this year.
If anyone feels like they do not want to attend the festival this year, they can either ask for a refund or exchange their tickets for 2021 tickets between 25 June and 9 July.
