Budapest (MTI)- A Chinese man suspected of murdering a young woman in Budapest in May has handed himself to the authorities in Beijing, the Budapest police said, confirming press reports on Thursday.
Chinese police have contacted the Hungarian authorities, the police said in a statement.
The 19-year-old victim was found dead in her apartment in Akacfa street in the 7th district on May 2. Hungarian police identified Xiao Qiao Peng, a 32-year-old Chinese man, as the suspect and issued European and international warrants for his arrest.
