The news about the Island comes in quick succession, this time with around forty new names announced by the organisers. “Last week, we announced the strongest electronic line-up in Sziget’s history for the three Delta District venues, and now we’re presenting a line-up that reflects the diversity of the festival’s music, with a range of cross-genre favourites for everyone to enjoy“, began Tamás Kádár, Sziget’s chief organiser.

In 2020, there was already a possibility that she would come to Sziget, but for reasons known to all, this year the British extravagant singer-songwriter, record producer, dancer, businesswoman, model and actress FKA Twigs will bring her album Eusexua, which was released in January. Twigs’ work has received huge acclaim, her music spans a wide range of genres including trip hop, electronica, indietronica, techno, art pop, trance, hyperpop and avant-garde.

London-born rapper Little Simz, winner of numerous music awards and star of Netflix’s hit series Top Boy, will be at Sziget. After many years, last year they released their latest album Ask That God, which will be heard on the Island.

Playing in the dim corners of East London pubs, The Last Dinner Party have attracted the attention of several major record labels, agents and promoters in a few short months and have gloriously burst into the guitar music renaissance. The five-piece all-female band weaves a fantasy of haunting melodies, explosive choruses and lyrics that encapsulate tragedy and triumph. Prelude to Ecstasy, the British indie rock band’s debut album, was released in February 2024, and was preceded by the single Nothing Matters, to critical acclaim.

British musician Michael Kiwanuka, first achieved major publicity with the release of his debut album Home Again. The Ugandan-born talent has created some of the most memorable contemporary soul music in recent years, for which he has been awarded a BRIT prize. The singer-songwriter’s fourth studio album Small Changes was released late last year to widespread critical acclaim.

Over the past decade, Portugal The Man has become one of rock music’s most treasured treasures and living phenomena, earning a legendary reputation as a festival favourite. In 2017, he rose to new heights with the release of the platinum-certified album Woodstock. The album was marked by the incredible success of the single Feel It Still, which won the group numerous awards. Their critically acclaimed ninth studio album, Chris Black Changed My Life, was released in 2023.
