Ten-Day Valley Of Arts Festival (Művészetek Völgye) Starts On July 25
(MTI) – The Valley of Arts festival organised in the picturesque Kali basin, north of Lake Balaton in western Hungary, starts next week with ten days of programmes, the organisers told MTI on Saturday.
The festival in its 24th year will again connect nearby villages Kapolcs, Vigantpetend and Taliandorogd through music, threatre and art in more than 53 venues. Besides the usual folk music, art and environmental fare which feature high in the offing, this year’s programme includes jazz singer Veronika Harcsa’s own show, a new Theatre Stage showcasing amateur and youth pieces and an exhibition by the youth architecture community Hello Wood, among others.
Visitors to the festival usually number around 100,000, and the same is expected this year, festival director Istvan Marta said.
