The Christmas market is already being built on Vörösmarty Square

The Budapest Advent-Christmas Fair on Vörösmarty Square opens earlier this year, adjusting to the European trends and satisfying tourists’ needs, announced the Budapest Festival and Tourism Center Nonprofit Ltd. (BFTK), writes travelo.hu.

The Christmas tree has already arrived, the stage and the stalls are standing, the trees are already decorated with lampions, and the Advent-Christmas Fair – which has been among Europe’s 10 best fairs for years now, – is being built day by day.

As part of the Budapest Winter Festival, three main events will make the time until Christmas more wonderful: the Advent-Christmas Fair on Vörösmarty Square, the Advent in Budapest Cultural Winter Festival in Városháza Square, and the Advent Feast at Basilica on St Stephen Square.

The Budapest Advent-Christmas Fair is being held between 13 November 2015 and 6 January 2016 on Vörösmarty Square, where visitors can buy gastronomic- and handcrafted items, and enjoy the festival programme, while kids can take their time in one of the playhouses.
