The most anticipated movies in 2020!!
Action-packed movies, detective stories, epic war films… It seems that 2020 will bring us several blockbusters. Let us see which are the most anticipated movie premieres in the new year. 😉
Knives Out
The American mystery film was written, produced, and directed by Rian Johnson (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), bringing back the mysterious atmosphere of Agatha Christie’s detective stories.
Our hero, Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig), is a famous private detective who is hired by a mysterious person to find out who killed the billionaire crime writer on his 85th birthday.
All the members of the greedy brigade seem suspicious, each with several motives to commit the terrible crime; however, everyone has unquestionable alibi… But who is the real killer then? Do not miss the unexpected turns of this exciting thriller.
1917
The epic war film was directed, co-written, and produced by the Oscar-winning Sam Mendes (Skyfall, American Beauty), who created an incredible atmosphere for the film by applying wonderful photographic techniques. The movie adapts a family story of two British soldiers on a suicide mission in World War I.
The uniqueness of the film is that the audience can follow the action without any cutting, thanks to which heroes can be viewed in real-time.
As Port reports, the two young British soldiers have to cross the enemy lines to bring a message to their trapped comrades. Only one day is left to achieve their goal, otherwise 1,600 fellow soldiers – including their brother – will lose their lives. George MacKay, Dean-Charles Chapman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Colin Firth, and Mark Strong are just a few actors starring in the exciting war movie.
The Gentlemen
The 2019 action crime film was written and directed by Guy Ritchie, who returned to his former style in his new film. According to the story, the American drug dealer (Matthew McConaughey) wants to sell his marijuana empire, which causes great chaos in the underworld. Assassins, criminals, dealers, everyone gets involved in the hope of becoming rich. But who will win in the long run?!
Cast: Matthew McConaughey, Hugh Grant, Colin Farrell, Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, etc.
007 No Time to Die
It seems that No Time to Die is the last episode of Daniel Craig’s James Bond era. Accordingly, it will be a sort of grand finale with such returning actors and actresses as Ralph Fiennes, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Jeffrey Wright, Naomi Harris, and Christoph Waltz. Furthermore, Rami Malek also appears on the scene, along with a new 007 agent, played by Lashana Lynch (known from Captain Marvel).

Wonder Woman 1984
In 2017, Wonder Woman was one of the most successful film adaptations of DC comic books, directed by Patty Jenkins. Both the audience and the critics loved the first part, in which Wonder Woman had to face several adventures on the island of Themüszkira during the First World War. Wonder Woman now returns at the end of the ’80s, during the Cold War; furthermore, her lover Steve Trevor (Chris Pine), who exploded into atomic pieces in the first part, also appears on the screen. Let’s see how the couple will end up in the new episode.
Tenet
Christopher Nolan’s new film is an action-packed spy story. Its main character is one of the greatest discoveries of last year, John David Washington, the son of Denzel Washington. The movie’s visual world and atmosphere are guaranteed to be great. Besides Washington, the cast will include Robert Pattinson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh, and Michael Caine.
