The most instagrammable parks in Budapest – PHOTOS
The weather is finally getting warmer, and we are desperate to get out of the four walls. Budapest has many beautiful parks, but the parks on this list are probably the ones you can see most often on Instagram because they are perfect locations for an excellent photo.
Margit-sziget/Margaret Island
Who does not love Margaret Island? It is a beloved piece of nature in the middle of Budapest which is a favourite spot of locals and tourists alike. It is a 2.5km-long island between Buda and Pest. The island is filled with promenades, flowers, fountains, and beautiful green grass everywhere. Not to mention that the famous fountain is also located here.
Városliget/Budapest City Park
The City Park is probably one of the most well-known tourist sights because it surrounds other famous historical sites like the Széchenyi Bath, Heroes’ Square or the Vajda Hunyad Castle. It is actually the second biggest public part in Budapest after … There is almost no limit to what you can do in this huge park: jog, walk your dog, do yoga with your friends, have a picnic, or have a nice refreshing fröccs at Kertem.

Kopaszi gát/Kopaszi dam
The recently renovated Kopaszi dam offers an ideal place for some relaxation. A vast green area where you can listen to the Danube’s waves and birds chirping while enjoying a delightful glass of Hungarian wine or lángos at one of the many restaurants and buffets along the shore.
Normafa
Normafa is the place to go if you are fed up with the noise and pollution of the capital, and all you need is some peace and quiet. You can walk in the forest, enjoy the view of Budapest from the lookout tower, or if it is winter time, get on a sleigh and have some fun!
Római-part/Roman-Shore
The shore is near the Roman Bath, and it is easily accessed vie HÉV or BKK ships. The shore has a very relaxing atmosphere and a beautiful view of the Danube. The perfect place to just lean back in a striped deck chair and have a grasp on the ambience.
Feneketlen-tó/Bottomless lake
CNN called Budapest’s Feneketlen lake an “unexpected oasis of calm in a bustling megapolis.”
This statement pretty much sums it all up. The park around the lake is green, relaxing, and it has a beautiful view of the St. Imre Church.
