The vaccination of foreign residents to start in mid-May

Furthermore, foreigners living in Hungary, Hungarians living abroad and ethnic Hungarians from other countries can also register for vaccination against Covid-19, starting on Tuesday, the government’s information centre said yesterday.

Registration opens for foreign residents
People in those groups can register at www.vakcinainfo.gov.hu, the centre said.
It added that vaccination would start in the second half of May with foreign residents in Hungary, with Hungarian nationals living in other countries to follow.
As we wrote yesterday, the European Commission recommended allowing people fully inoculated with EU-recognised vaccines to be able to enter from any country, and said other vaccines could be added if they are approved by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The European Medicines Agency has authorised the use of shots by Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca in the EU.
The WHO has also approved those vaccines for use and is expected to decide on the use of two Chinese vaccines this week. Both agencies are considering Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine.
Vaccinate-Vaccinate – Vaccinate – never a truer word spoken by our Prime Minister – Victor Orban.
We are holders of Residence Permit Cards.
We appreciate finally the opportunity to be vaccinated, accepting that priority was rightfully given to the citizens of Hungary, being afforded the priority of the vaccination process.
Question – if we register given a date for our vaccination, and we arrive and told it is the Russian or Chinese vaccine that we are to receive, and we do not wish either of these vaccines, that we wish the European Union approved vaccines – what position or decision is then made by the authorities ?
It is hoped we are not told – you take what is being offered or go without OR we make another appointment for you when you can come back and be vaccinated with the European Union Approved vaccines.
We have Private Medical coverage to pay for our vaccination, but we have associates – who do not have Private Medical coverage – who under the conditions of Residence Permit Card status in Hungary – pay huf for ALL their Medical needs.
The question that I ask – needs answering.
Funny Nathaniel, I feel the same way about accepting any vaccine from Pfizer, Astra Zeneca, Janssen or any of the approved western vaccines. If I was forced to accept one the Sputnik one is the only one I would roll up my sleeve for.
There is an old saying in English which states : “BEGGARS CAN’T BE CHOOSERS.”
It seems that certain holders of Hungarian ‘residence cards’ believe they should NOT have to follow the same vaccination protocols which apply to Hungarian citizens.
If these foreigners are offered SINOPHARM or SPUTNIK vaccines – at NO cost – they should just be grateful and STOP WHINGEING !
The rector of Semmelweiss University clearly stated today that – in his opinion – the Sinopharm vaccine is an excellent product.
An article has been published in ‘D.N.H.’ today which says : “(The) Chinese jab provides proper protection”. READ IT !
Furthermore, it seems very likely that the World Health Organisation will shortly deliver a similar verdict.
The failure of such approval from the European Commission’s ‘puppets’ at E.M.A. is not at all surprising when one considers the antipathy with which E.U.’s ‘executive branch’ regards both China and Russia.
Nathaniel and his fellow ‘bleaters’ should be VERY happy with what they get !
If they don’t like it, then perhaps moving back to their ‘home’ countries should be seriously considered.
Alfred – we know that you are only Hungarian by birthright but not a real Hungarian. You don’t even speak the language! If anyone, it is YOU whom should go back somewhere, anywhere but here in Hungary. You are not welcome!
