There are now more than 60,000 cars with green plates on the road in Hungary
Hungary has issued more than 60,000 green number plates for fully electric and hybrid vehicles, the Ministry of Technology and Industry said on Monday.
The number of green number plates has more than tripled since early 2020. Over 54 percent of all vehicles with green number plates are fully electric, the ministry said in a statement.
The green number plates, launched late in 2015, are for fully electric vehicles as well as plug-in, full and range-extender hybrids, depending on the distance they can travel using batteries.

Since electric vehicles are SO much heavier than internal-combustion-engine type, are there adjustments being made to roads so that seismic vibration that occurs does not damage all of the foundations of older buildings or private homes as vehicles run the roads incessantly? With such a high number of cars already on the roads, this issue needs addressing now, not when damage has occurred & costly repairs must be done,,,,,and the roads need to be built differently anyway for the future.
