After 10 years, Tunisia is finally available from this Hungarian city again!
For the first time in ten years, there will be a flight to Tunisia from Debrecen International Airport. Kartago Tours’ charter flight to Monastir on 4 June has put the popular Tunisian destination back on the map of destinations available from Debrecen.
The charter service, launched on 4 June 2024, will reconnect Debrecen with the popular Tunisian destination after a ten-year break, AIRportal.hu reports.
The service will operate once a week on Tuesdays throughout the summer season until 24 September.
Tunisia available from Debrecen again
The first flight was operated by a Smartwings Boeing 737 aircraft. The passengers were welcomed by Zsófia Bocsák, CEO of Kartago Tours, Raja Ammar, representative of the Tunisian Tourist Office and Tamás Király, CEO of Debrecen International Airport Ltd.
The new flight will give travellers the opportunity to discover Tunisia’s rich cultural heritage, admire its stunning landscapes and popular beaches, and enjoy the local gastronomy, turizmus.com writes.
“We are very pleased that after a ten-year hiatus, we were able to bring back the weekly Monastir charter service to Debrecen,” said Zsófia Bocsák, the CEO of Kartago Tours. “This move not only creates an opportunity for travellers to reach Tunisia more easily and conveniently, but also further strengthens Kartago Tours’ commitment to the Eastern Hungary region.”
In addition to Monastir, Kartago Tours offers package deals to the Turkish Riviera and the Greek island of Corfu from Debrecen airport this summer season.
