Young man “executed” in Budapest with two blows: unexpected cause of death revealed

Two weeks ago, on a Saturday, 28-year-old László A. struck 25-year-old Gábor Dominik Fördős outside the popular Morrison’s 2 nightclub in Budapest. Paramedics rushed Dominik to hospital, but he tragically succumbed to his injuries. His grieving parents remain baffled by the tragedy. According to his father, there is compelling CCTV footage, while the attacker claims he acted in self-defence with pre-emptive strikes. However, the coroner’s report reveals that the blows were delivered with such brutal force that they effectively “executed” Dominik.
Coroner’s report on Budapest killing: artery rupture and first vertebra fracture
Blikk has recently obtained the coroner’s findings from the incident outside Morrison’s 2. The 25-year-old had travelled from the countryside to the capital for a night out. His father says Dominik had stopped to help a young woman who had fallen outside the club when the assailant appeared and struck the upright-standing young man twice.
Dominik collapsed immediately, and security staff restrained the attacker until police and paramedics arrived. Despite being taken to hospital, the victim could not be saved. Initially, it was suspected that the fatal injuries might have been caused by his fall, but the post-mortem report tells a different story.

The report states that Dominik did not die from the fall or because his nasal bone had shifted into the frontal lobe. The medical examiner determined that the cause of death was a fracture of the first vertebra and a rupture of the artery supplying blood to the brain stem. This was likely caused by a sudden backwards whip of the head from the force of the blows. This theory will be presented at trial by a forensic expert, who may confirm or challenge it. Should it be upheld, the attacker could face a harsher sentence, as his assault directly caused Dominik’s death.
Severe punishment expected
Given the level of force evident, it seems unlikely that Dominik was so intimidating that he compelled the attacker to strike first in self-defence, as the latter claims. The attacker maintains he was joking when Dominik approached him threateningly, prompting what he describes as pre-emptive strikes. Yet the photos published by Blikk show a young man who hardly looks like a wrestler or someone to be feared.

Meanwhile, Dominik’s mother is searching for the person who took his final selfie before the tragedy.
The family demands answers, while the attacker – if found guilty – faces severe punishment.
