Farm minister discusses cooperation options in Kazakhstan
Agriculture could become an engine of growth for economic cooperation between Hungary and Kazakhstan, Farm Minister Sándor Fazekas said in Astana after talks with first deputy minister of agriculture Kayrat Aytuganov, the Hungarian ministry’s press office said on Saturday.
The food industry is a basic element of the strategic partnership with Kazakhstan, and Hungary is ready to share its farm technology experiences in order to help Kazakhstan better utilise its lands, Fazekas said.
The Hungarian ministry’s national agricultural research and innovation centre signed a cooperation agreement with Kazakhstan’s fishing research institute, agricultural science and education centre, and national university of agriculture to strengthen links between experts and research institutes in the two countries.
After bilateral talks, Fazekas attended the Hungarian National Day events at the Astana World Expo.
