Unexpected twist: petrol prices will drop in Hungary on Friday
From Friday, petrol and diesel prices will drop in Hungary. However, for motorists, there is bad news as more roads are slated to become toll routes.
Effective this Friday, petrol will cost 6 forints less while diesel will drop by 5 forints. As of mid-December, the average price for 95-litre petrol stands at 558 Ft/litre (EUR 1.46), and diesel averages 583 Ft/litre (EUR 1.53), as reported by penzcentrum.hu.
Despite the fuel price relief, motorists face unwelcome news. From 1st February, more roads across the country will turn into toll roads. These include routes such as the M0, the M6 and segments of the M4. For the complete list, see the details here. Stay informed as you navigate the changing roads ahead.
